Munro's Mariners to kayak up the river Gironde - Charity Fund Raisers to kayak to Bordeaux

Munro's Mariners are holding a charity event kayaking up the rivers Gironde and Garonne to Bordeaux in France, loosely retracing the route taken by Operation Frankton during the second World War and popularised by the 1954 film Cokleshell Heros.

The expedtion will consisit of ten paddlers the majority of whom are serving Dorset Police officers departing from Poole on the 26th November and returning on the 4th December 2009.
