Phil Shephard, Managing Director

With over forty years experience in the insurance industry both in the broking and company sectors, Phil was invited to set up Southampton Insurance Services Limited (SIS) in August 1999, for Southampton Leisure Holdings plc.

Having successfully run the company as Managing Director for the plc for eight years, he successfully completed a Management Buy Out of the business from the parent plc. in July 2007.

SIS continues to have a good working relationship with Southampton Football Club, with a number of players, both past and present, remaining clients of SIS.

Needless to say that SIS has strong contacts in the sports insurance field, being able to place a number of hard to place sports related risks including concerts at sports stadia.

SIS are also known for placing the odd risk, such as a Land Fill site and more recently a Treasure Hunt in Istanbul.
